Data Research Group (DRG) is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy statement explains data collection and use practices of all M3 sites (collectively the “Site”) as well as DRG ECS; it does not apply to other online or offline DRG sites, products or services. By accessing the Site or subscribing to DRG ECS, you are consenting to the information collection and use practices described in this privacy statement.
By accessing or otherwise using DRG ECS, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy and the associated Terms of Service (set forth on http://www.datarg.com/Terms) you expressly consent to the processing of your Personal Information and Anonymous Information according to this Privacy Policy. Your Personal Information may be processed by us in the country where it was collected as well as other countries (including the United States) where laws regarding processing of Personal Information may be less stringent than the laws in your country.
1. Collection of Personal Information
We will ask you when we need information that personally identifies you (personal information) or allows us to contact you to provide a service or carry out a transaction that you have requested such as receiving information about DRG products and services, or when purchasing, downloading and/or registering DRG products. The personal information we collect may include (but is not limited to) your name, title, company or organization name, e-mail, phone, address, information about your job function, information about your company, credit card, and bank account information.
The Site may collect certain information about your visit, such as the name of your Internet service provider and the Internet Protocol (IP) address through which you access the Internet; the date and time you access the Site; the pages that you access while at the Site and the Internet address of the Web site from which you linked directly to our site. This information is used to help improve the site, analyze trends and administer the site. The site may collect information about your hardware and software in order to provide a requested service.
DRG forums provide opportunities to interact with DRG employees, experts, and your peers in order to share knowledge and news about DRG products and related technologies. In order to avoid your e-mail address or other personal information from being gathered and used by others for inappropriate or harmful purposes, DRG advises that you should be cautious about posting a real e-mail address or other personal information to newsgroups, chats, or other public forums.
1.1 Personal Information from Other Sources
We may receive Personal Information about you from other sources with which you have registered, companies who we have partnered with (collectively, "Partners") or other third parties. We may associate this information with the other Personal Information we have collected about you.
2. Use of your Personal Information
The personal information collected on the Site or through DRG ECS will be used to operate the Site as well as DRG ECS and to provide the service(s) or carry out the transaction(s) you have requested or authorized.
In support of these uses, DRG may use personal information to provide you with more effective customer service, to improve the Site and any related DRG products or services, and to make the Site easier to use by eliminating the need for you to repeatedly enter the same information or by customizing the Site to your particular preference or interests. In order to offer you a more consistent experience in your interactions with DRG, information collected by the Site may be combined with information collected by other DRG services.
We may use your personal information to provide you with important information about the product or service that you are using, including critical updates and notifications. Additionally, we may send you information about other DRG products and services.

Some services on the Site offer individuals the ability to publicly display certain personal information, such as for a DRG partner who wishes to publish contact information as part of offering a business service. Participation in such services is always optional.

The Site and DRG ECS may provide links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such other websites. This policy applies solely to information collected by us through the Site and DRG ECS and does not apply to these third-party websites. The ability to access information of third parties from DRG ECS, or links to other websites or locations, is for your convenience and does not signify our endorsement of such third-parties, their products, their services, other websites, locations or their content.
2.1 Information Shared with Partners
DRG partners with various companies (our "Partners") to provide additional services through the Site. Such services may include (but is not limited to), credit card processing, bank transaction processing, email messaging, SMS or voice messaging, web site hosting, packaging, mailing and delivery, answering customer questions about products and services, and sending information about our products, special offers, and other services.
In such cases, we will provide our Partners with the personal information they need to deliver the service for which they have been retained. Our Partners are required to maintain the confidentiality of the information and are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose.
3. Control of your Personal Information
Except as otherwise described in this statement, personal information you provide on the Site as well as DRG ECS will not be shared without your permission outside of DRG, its controlled subsidiaries and affiliates, and organizations with whom you explicitly lias. Please be aware that this privacy statement and any choices you make on the Site and DRG ECS will not necessarily apply to personal information you may have provided to DRG in the context of other, separately operated, DRG products or services, or other organizations with whom you have established a relationship through DRG products or services.
DRG may send out periodic e-mails informing you of technical service or security issues related to a product or service you requested, or confirming you requested a product or service. In some services offered by DRG, contact with the customer is an intrinsic part of the service. You will not be able to choose to unsubscribe to these mailings, as they are considered an essential part of the service(s) you have chosen.
4. Security of your Personal Information
DRG is committed to protecting the security of your personal information. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. For example, we store the personal information you provide on computer servers with limited access that are located in controlled facilities. Additionally, when we transmit sensitive personal information (such as a credit card number or bank account number) over the Internet, we protect it through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.
5. Regarding Children
Children under the age of 13 are not permitted to use the Site or DRG ECS and we do not intentionally collect or maintain Personal Information from those who are under 13 years old. Protecting the privacy of children is very important to us. Thus, if we obtain actual knowledge that a user is under 13, we will take steps to remove that user's Personal Information from our databases. We recommend that children between the ages of 13 and 18 obtain their parent's permission before submitting information over the internet. By using the Site or DRG ECS, you are representing that you are at least 18 years old, or that you are at least 13 years old and have your parents' permission to use the Site or DRG ECS.
6. Use of Cookies
We use cookies on the Site to ensure the integrity of the registration process and to personalize the Site and DRG ECS. We may share aggregated site statistics with partner companies.

6. 1 Use of Web Beacons
DRG Web pages may contain electronic images known as Web beacons - sometimes called single-pixel gifs - that allow the Site to count users who have visited those pages and to deliver co-branded services. DRG may include Web beacons in promotional e-mail messages or newsletters in order to determine whether messages have been opened and acted upon.
Some of these Web beacons may be placed by third party service providers to help determine the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns or email communications. These Web beacons may be used by these service providers to place a persistent cookie on your computer. Doing this allows the service provider to recognize your computer each time you visit certain pages or emails and compile anonymous information in relation to those page views. the Site prohibits Web beacons from being used to collect or access your personal information.
