Problem
AEDI was putting forth great effort in the process of collecting time sheet
data from their employees. This process was exasperated all the more due to the fact that employees
worked at different office locations around the Washington DC Metropolitan area. Once information
was collected there was an additional effort of compiling all of the independent spreadsheets into a
single repository for analysis and reporting tasks.
DRG Team Solution
The DRG team crafted an online web application using ASP.NET, SQL Server and XML
services technology. This system allows end users to log into the same data repository from any
location providing an internet connection to provide timesheet data. The system boasts built in
approval process that permits up to 3 approvals per time period. The information within this system
requires no post backs in order to save the information entered, but rather utilizes XML technology
to stream entered data back to the web server.
